Purpose and Objectives for the Role

The Operations and Control Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining operational integrity, compliance, and risk management across Big Ticket’s front-line activities. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operational processes, identifying and addressing process gaps, managing incident reporting, and supporting cross-functional reporting with Finance and Compliance.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with operational processes, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Manage the end-to-end incident reporting process, including escalation and documentation.
  • Perform regular risk assessments to highlight operational vulnerabilities.
  • Work closely with Finance and Compliance to generate reports, support audits, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Track the effectiveness of operational controls and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support training and awareness efforts across teams on operational best practices.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of operational risk and compliance principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend actions.
  • Proficiency in preparing clear, data-driven reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced operational environments.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive accountability.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Operations, or a related field. (Preferable)
  • Experience in compliance, operations control, or audit is highly desirable.
