Role Overview

A skilled and experienced Onshore Commissioning Engineer with strong expertise in water and wastewater treatment systems including STP, ETP, UF, RO, and DM plants. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end site execution support, from installation supervision to commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project schedules, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support installation activities of water and wastewater treatment systems such as
    • Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)
    • Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP)
    • Ultrafiltration (UF) systems
    • Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
    • Demineralization (DM) plants
  • Execute and lead commissioning activities including:
    • Pre-commissioning checks
    • System testing and trials
    • Performance validation
  • Prepare and manage:
    • Detailed commissioning schedules and timelines
    • Material requirement lists (MRL) and site planning documents
    • Daily, weekly, and milestone progress reports
  • Coordinate effectively with:
    • Clients and consultants
    • Internal engineering and project teams
    • Vendors and subcontractors
  • Ensure smooth execution of complete site activities, including:
    • Equipment inspection and verification
    • Piping and instrumentation checks
    • Electrical and control system integration
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning phases
  • Ensure strict adherence to:
    • Project specifications and quality standards
    • HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures
    • Local and international safety norms
  • Support project handover activities including documentation, training, and client acceptance
Requirements

  • Strong practical knowledge of water treatment processes and technologies
  • Hands-on experience in installation supervision and site execution
  • Ability to prepare commissioning schedules and material planning
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and client coordination abilities
  • Familiarity with safety standards and site compliance requirements
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site (onshore projects)
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
