Officer - Training Systems

Simulator Training 

• Enact pilot’s role during exercises in the ATC simulator
• Act as Flight Data Processor during simulator exercises 
• Act as simulator exercise support by communicating as external/internal units
• Perform OJT of new pseudo pilots.

Technical Competency 

• Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant parts of PANS ATM and ICAO documents, Emirates AIP and local ATC instructions of the UAE ACC 
• Undergo periodic competency checking in handling of simulator duties.

Training equipment readiness 

• Participate in testing, configuration and commissioning of relevant equipment and software relating to the simulator and its upgrades as and when needed. 
• Assist in keeping all relevant TRN data and documentation up to date. 
• Maintain a through operational knowledge and understanding of the equipment and systems used for the provision of ATS in the UAE FIR.
• Bring to the attention of ATSIs any occurrence or system failure that will affect the simulator.

Training Administrative support 

• Assist ATSIs in collating data and preparing exercises for the simulator. 
• Complete progress reports on trainee PPs and discuss the contents with the trainees, other OJTIs and management
• Provide administrative support to Senior ATSIs
