JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of a clients physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional capabilities, as well as their daily living environment.
- Goal Setting: Collaborate with clients to establish individualized goals and objectives for therapy, focusing on improving their functional abilities.
- Treatment Planning: Develop treatment plans that include activities and interventions designed to address specific challenges and improve overall function.
- Therapeutic Activities: Administer therapeutic activities and exercises aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, coordination, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive abilities.
- Adaptive Techniques: Recommend and teach the use of adaptive equipment, devices, and strategies to facilitate independence in daily activities.
- Sensory Integration: Work with clients, particularly children, to address sensory processing difficulties that may affect their behavior and participation.
- Functional Skills Training: Provide training in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, cooking, and using public transportation.
- Environmental Modifications: Assess and recommend modifications to home, school, or workplace environments to enhance accessibility and safety.
- Assistive Technology: Evaluate and recommend assistive technology devices to support clients in communication, mobility, and independence.
- Education and Counseling: Educate clients, families, and caregivers on techniques and strategies to maximize independence and coping skills.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document client progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to achieve goals.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
- Pediatric Services: In pediatric settings, OTs may work with children to address developmental delays and sensory integration difficulties.

Complying consistently with facility policies, procedures and practices and ensuring alignment with SEHA facilities policies
Completing and maintaining regulatory requirements including licensure and certification and other mandatory training within established time frames

Maintaining confidentiality with regards to any information exchanged or received in the current capacity of role in accordance with facility policy.
Promoting Customer Service Standards:
Assuming the role of a brand ambassador for the facility and promoting a customer focused philosophy in dealing with any stakeholders
Maintaining positive and effective working relationships within the department/division and also with other departments/sections within the facility
Performing any other duties as may be assigned relevant to the basic responsibilities of the role

Adhering to requirements of the Occupational Health and safety guidelines and infection control guidelines
Understanding and adhering to emergency preparedness plans/policies.

Complying with any regulations related to mentoring, training, development of UAE nationals staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications Required:
- Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
