Job Description

As a Network Engineer 19F26, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of designing, implementing, and managing complex network systems for our organization. Our ideal candidate will be someone with a keen analytical mindset, capable of troubleshooting intricate issues and ensuring our network architecture is robust and resilient. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that our network infrastructure supports our business operations efficiently and securely. You will work closely with a team of IT professionals to maintain high performance levels for the network across various departments. This role requires a detailed understanding of networking technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and techniques in a rapidly evolving IT landscape.


Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy new networking solutions to improve network performance.
  • Monitor and maintain network stability and performance across all sites.
  • Identify and troubleshoot network issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance network security protocols.
  • Implement network installations, configurations, and upgrades as required.
  • Manage and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other network equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and processes.
  • Perform regular network security assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure optimal performance of network hardware.
  • Provide support and training to end-users on network-related issues.
  • Evaluate new networking technologies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for future growth needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a network engineer or in a similar network role.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
