Join Us as an MRP Planner – Supply Chain Department

As an MRP Planner at CARACAL, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials that drive our production operations. You will oversee material requirements planning, optimize inventory levels, and coordinate closely with production, procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure the timely availability of components for manufacturing.

Core Accountabilities MRP Management

  • Oversee the full Material Requirements Planning (MRP) cycle to support production readiness.
  • Analyze production schedules, inventory levels, and material requirements to generate accurate MRP outputs.
  • Adjust MRP schedules based on changes in lead times, production plans, or capacity constraints.
  • Create material codes to support efficient PR creation and accurate material tracking.
  • Lead the MRP team to ensure timely creation of PRs aligned with production demand.
  • Coordinate with Sales for customer-driven direct purchase requirements.
  • Work with Suppliers, QC, and Procurement to resolve material quality concerns.
  • Participate in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels through data-driven forecasting and monitoring.
  • Track raw materials and components to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse team to ensure space allocation for incoming materials.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Production to align material needs with manufacturing plans.
  • Liaise with Procurement to ensure timely placement of purchase orders based on MRP output.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers and Logistics teams to secure on-time deliveries and resolve bottlenecks.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze MRP reports to identify risks, shortages, or planning inefficiencies.
  • Prepare regular reports on material availability, delivery schedules, inventory health, and MRP performance.
  • Maintain and improve key MRP metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Problem-Solving

  • Identify and resolve material availability issues impacting production.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of supply chain disruptions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing MRP processes, system accuracy, and material flow.
  • Stay current with supply chain best practices and MRP system advancements.

Experience & Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent supply chain certifications are an advantage.

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of MRP, inventory control, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-paced production environment.
