Mold And Tooling Changeover Technician Defence Aerospace Industrial Abu Dhabi UAE

We are looking for experienced Mold & Tooling Changeover Technicians to support production-line tooling and mold changeover activities within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove production molds and process tooling.
• Position, align and securely fasten molds on production equipment.
• Connect and disconnect process utilities associated with molds.
• Inspect molds before and after production use.
• Clean and prepare molds for installation or storage.
• Safely handle and move heavy tooling.
• Operate hoists, overhead cranes or other applicable lifting equipment where authorized.
• Perform slinging, positioning and securing of molds.
• Connect pneumatic, cooling, steam and electrical utilities within the defined scope of work.
• Support efficient production changeovers.
• Comply with EHS procedures.
• Follow LOTO procedures.
• Follow all lifting-operation and tooling-handling safety requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, vocational qualification or documented practical experience working with molds and industrial process tooling.
• Previous experience performing mold or tooling installation/removal.
• Experience safely handling heavy tooling.
• Experience with hoists, overhead cranes or related lifting equipment preferred.
• Understanding of slinging and load-positioning principles.
• Knowledge of mold alignment and fastening.
• Understanding of pneumatic, cooling, steam and basic electrical connections related to tooling.
• Knowledge of LOTO and lifting safety procedures.
• Applicable local lifting authorizations may be required depending on equipment and legislation.
