As a Modern Trade Strategy Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive sales and increase market share within the modern trade channel. Your main objective will be to establish strong relationships with key accounts, conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, and implement innovative sales strategies to meet revenue targets. You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment and maximize profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern trade management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to think creatively to stay ahead in a competitive market.   • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market penetration and drive sales in the modern trade channel.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, negotiating contracts and terms to maximize business outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of trade marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct regular performance analysis and reporting to track progress towards sales targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead promotional and pricing strategies to optimize product visibility and profitability in modern trade outlets.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices to continuously improve trade strategies and tactics.
  • Monitor inventory levels and product availability in stores, coordinating with internal teams to address any supply chain issues.
  • Train and educate sales teams and trade partners on product features, benefits, and selling techniques to drive product uptake.
  • Stay updated on competitor activities and market dynamics to proactively adjust strategies and maintain competitiveness.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in modern trade strategy development within the consumer goods industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and market research tools.
