Job Description

As an MIS and Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the systems and processes that ensure the organization’s inventory data is accurate, reliable, and efficiently managed. Working at the intersection of data management and supply chain logistics, your primary focus will be on maintaining the integrity of inventory information within the Management Information Systems (MIS). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing MIS to track inventory levels, streamline operations, and enhance decision-making processes. Your strategic input will support achieving optimal inventory levels, minimize costs, and improve service quality, impacting the overall efficiency and profitability of the organization. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, technical proficiency, and thorough understanding of inventory management principles.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement MIS solutions specific to inventory management requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate data within inventory management systems regularly.
  • Develop reports and insights from MIS data to inform management decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand inventory data needs and challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes through technological improvements.
  • Ensure that all inventory data is securely stored and backed up regularly.
  • Train and support team members in the use of inventory management systems.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards in inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in MIS and inventory management roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in data handling.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills for training and guiding team members on systems.
