MGT New Unit Site Installation Engineer

A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves overseeing and guiding installation activities for gas turbine projects, ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual requirements and Siemens Energy quality standards. You will act as the key liaison between customers, contractors, and the project team, providing technical leadership, resolving site challenges, and supporting the successful installation of turbine systems, acoustic enclosures, ventilation systems, and air intake structures.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to customers and local installation contractors throughout the installation phase.
• Ensure all installation activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Conduct inspections and verify the quality and completion of mechanical installation work.
• Prepare installed systems for successful handovers to the commissioning team.
• Coordinate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal project stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Experience in mechanical installation, maintenance, or field service roles such as fitter, mechanic, or service technician.
• Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, installation processes, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with a focus on safe execution of site activities.
• Proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in dynamic, multicultural environments; fluency in English is required, and energy, power generation, or construction industry experience is advantageous.
