MGT New Unit Commissioning Engineer

A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves leading the installation, testing, and commissioning of new gas turbines at customer sites worldwide, ensuring all systems are brought online safely, efficiently, and in accordance with performance specifications. You will travel internationally to troubleshoot technical issues, collaborate with customer and project teams, and support the successful delivery of critical power generation assets in diverse operating environments.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Execute mechanical, electrical, and control system commissioning activities for gas turbine and power generation projects.
• Perform pre-commissioning inspections, testing, and validation to ensure systems are ready for safe operation.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, and other control systems to achieve optimal performance.
• Lead start-up activities, diagnose technical issues, and implement effective solutions during the commissioning phase.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver commissioning activities safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in line with customer requirements.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience in commissioning, including pre-commissioning activities, testing, system validation, and start-up of industrial or power generation equipment.
• Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing PLC, SCADA, and other control systems.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Adaptable and solution-oriented professional with excellent English communication skills, capable of working independently, within multidisciplinary teams, and in international project environments.
