Job Description

As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and developing strategies to promote and sell products to customers. Your main duties will include analyzing market trends, collaborating with suppliers to negotiate pricing and contracts, monitoring inventory levels, and creating visually appealing product displays. You will also be tasked with conducting competitor analysis, forecasting sales trends, and identifying new opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Additionally, a proven track record in merchandising and a deep understanding of consumer behavior and preferences are highly desirable. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies that drive sales and increase profitability.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with buyers and other cross-functional teams to develop product assortments that meet customer needs.
  • Plan and execute product presentations and store layouts to showcase merchandise effectively.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible margins.
  • Forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly to meet sales targets.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Train and supervise merchandising associates to ensure consistent execution of merchandising strategies.
  • Conduct regular store visits to evaluate merchandising standards and provide feedback for improvement.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in merchandising or retail.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
