We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for leveraging trends to maximize sales opportunities. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and developing merchandising strategies that balance our customers’ expectations and company’s objectives. You will analyze sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs and ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborating closely with product developers, suppliers, and retailers, you are expected to deliver the right product, in the right place, at the right time. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement merchandising strategies in line with sales objectives and market trends.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery times.
• Monitor stock levels and make timely purchasing decisions to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
• Analyze sales data and trends to forecast future consumer purchasing trends and product needs.
• Create appealing displays to attract customers and drive sales in retail stores.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and adjust plans accordingly.
• Prepare reports detailing sales figures and evaluate the margins and performance of merchandise.
• Work closely with marketing teams to promote upcoming products or special offers.
• Ensure all products are tagged and priced accurately, creating a seamless shopping experience.
• Maintain good relationships with store teams to implement merchandising plans effectively.
• Coordinate with warehouse managers to ensure timely and efficient distribution of products.
• Stay informed on industry and consumer trends to propose innovative merchandising solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a merchandiser in retail or a similar industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and interpret market trends.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
• Creative mindset with an eye for color, design, and layout to attract customers.
