Job Description

An MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for the maintenance, installation, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within a building or facility. With the increasing complexity of modern infrastructure, the role of an MEP Technician becomes crucial to ensuring that all systems function efficiently and safely. The technician will work closely with engineers and other construction professionals to ensure that all projects and systems meet the required standards and regulations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Install, repair, and replace HVAC systems and related components as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to implement system upgrades.
  • Perform diagnostic tests to detect malfunctions or inefficiencies in systems.
  • Ensure all systems meet operational and safety standards consistently.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, installations, and repairs performed.
  • Provide emergency repair services during system breakdowns or malfunctions.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of new system installations or upgrades.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of tools, materials, and supplies needed for tasks.
  • Comply with industry codes and safety regulations in all technical activities.
  • Train junior technicians and team members on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Recommend improvements or modifications to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an MEP technician or similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and tools.
  • Technical certification or diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to read technical blueprints.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements is crucial.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
