As an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Technician, you will play an integral role in ensuring the efficiency and functionality of a building's critical systems. Your expertise will be paramount in managing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within various facilities. Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Identify and address mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers for project success.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics accurately and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and building regulations.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment for precise troubleshooting of systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used in maintenance tasks.
  • Recommend enhancements or upgrades to existing MEP systems for enhanced efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and system malfunctions.
  • Manage inventory of MEP supplies and request orders as necessary for ongoing projects.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior technicians to uphold service standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an MEP Technician in a commercial or residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals proficiently.
  • Familiarity with local and national building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in MEP systems preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if needed.
