MEP Supervisor

Job Purpose

The MEP Supervisor is responsible for supervising the operation, maintenance, and reliability of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across Salayel Hospitality properties. This role ensures optimal system performance, regulatory compliance, and high standards of guest comfort while leading the engineering team on day-to-day maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, and BMS systems
• Lead and allocate work to MEP technicians and outsourced contractors
• Ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance (PPM & CM)
• Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Coordinate with vendors for AMC, breakdowns, and specialist repairs
• Ensure full compliance with Abu Dhabi Municipality, Civil Defence, and OSHAD requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, BOH, and plant rooms
• Support energy management and cost-control initiatives
• Maintain maintenance logs, asset registers, and service reports
• Respond to emergencies and guest-related technical issues professionally
• Ensure safety standards and hotel brand guidelines are strictly followed
  
  

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 4–7 years’ experience in MEP maintenance, preferably in hotels or serviced apartments
• Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and BMS
• Prior experience supervising technicians or shift teams
• Familiar with UAE codes, safety regulations, and authority approvals
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
