Job Description

As a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer, you will play a vital role in executing and overseeing the design and implementation of MEP systems in various constructions and building projects. Your expertise will ensure the functionality, efficiency, and compliance of these systems with current standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to integrate these systems seamlessly into project plans. Responsibilities

  • Develop and design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for new constructions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site inspections to assess project requirements.
  • Coordinate with architects and other engineers to integrate MEP systems into design plans.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for MEP systems.
  • Ensure all MEP installations are compliant with local and international building codes.
  • Review and approve materials and equipment to ensure they meet project standards.
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to contractors during system installations.
  • Test and commission MEP systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Analyze and resolve any issues that arise during the construction and post-construction phases.
  • Assist in project budget estimation and control related to MEP components.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all MEP-related activities and changes.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders regarding MEP systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of current MEP building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex engineering challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not mandatory.
