As a subject matter expert, this role leads the technical execution of Wireline operations in the region. You’ll partner closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Sales and Clients to drive optimized service delivery, ensure safety and quality, implement new technologies, and support commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all Wireline jobs in the Geozone, ensuring adherence to Weatherford standards, client specifications, and local regulations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and a technical point of contact for clients. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and job reviews.
  • Support field operations with troubleshooting, job planning, and post-job analysis.
  • Conduct regular wellsite visits to evaluates the quality, proficiency and efficiency of field operations and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
  • Provide live technical support during complex job execution to troubleshoot issues and guide critical decision-making.
  • Drive Productivity through plans to maximize equipment utilization. Assists in locating required assets and resolving asset discrepancies.
  • Oversee the training, competency, development and appraisal of Wireline personnel.
  • Promote and enforce adherence to HSE policies and procedures. Support incident investigations and implement lessons learned.
  • Monitor Quality performance metrics. Follow up and act on incident root-cause analysis up to closure.
  • Collaborate with the commercial and sales teams by providing technical input for tenders and bids.
  • Lead the introduction of new Wireline technologies by conducting technical evaluations and coordinating field trials. Work closely with R&D and other product lines to pilot and deploy innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a scientific discipline (or equivalent) .
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in oilfield Wireline operations and 5 years in Managerial role.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple technical projects.
  • Practical knowledge of wireline services, tools, and data acquisition systems.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience in strategic planning, project governance, and commercial proposal support
  • Familiarity with change management and contracting processes.
  • Ability to analyze scientific data, operational KPIs, and financial metrics.
  • Team-oriented, detail-minded, and solution-driven individual with multicultural fluency.
  • Previous experience in the MENA region is highly preferred.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
