Since its inception in 2010, National Reference Laboratory (NRL) has expanded from a single standalone reference laboratory to a network of 12 state-of-the-art facilities across the United Arab Emirates. NRL provides world-class diagnostic services to the M42 network and partners with more than 250 clients from a wide range of market segments, including private and government hospitals, medical centers and clinics, corporate organizations, and other reference laboratories.

We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Clinical Trials team. The role involves performing specialized lab tests on patient samples with accuracy and reliability, in compliance with M42 and DOH/DHA standards, supporting high-quality, reproducible clinical trial data.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate handling, processing, and testing of clinical trial samples at CCAD.
  • Perform SMT, testing, result verification, reporting, and archiving of clinical trial samples.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical trial protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and traceability for all clinical trial activities.
  • Liaise with clinical trial teams and laboratory stakeholders to support timely sample processing.
  • Support core laboratory operations when not assigned to clinical trial activities.
  • Perform additional laboratory tasks and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • DOH-licensed General Medical Technologist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or accredited laboratory setting.
  • Hands-on experience in core laboratory disciplines (e.g., hematology, chemistry, immunology).
  • Experience with clinical trials and research sample handling is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory quality standards, documentation, and compliance requirements.
