What will you be doing at MBRF?
Responsible for all Mechanical breakdowns in his area of responsibility.
Ensure Mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
Co-ordinate with Maintenance team for all continuous improvement activities.
Ensure proper handling of chemical products.
Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements within the workplace.
Ensure GMP and 5S compliance within the workplace.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Process and Food Defense requirements, and other applicable procedure related to the scope of the job.
Reduce the mean time of repair (MTTR) in the lines, through effective presence in the line.
Analyze and report any anomalies, complete notifications M1, M2 and M3 in the PM system and confirm orders
Report all HSE hazards, accidents, incidents and deviations with actual or potential loss.
Comply with reasonable HSE instructions and safe working procedures.
Assist with the preparation of risk assessment
Comply with company’s procedures, work instructions and guidelines and ensure that respective employees/subordinates are trained and retrained;
Comply with all current and applicable personnel / food safety regulations and procedures and participate actively in food safety program instituted by the company;
Report problems /changes related to FSQ management system to direct supervisor and FS team;
Comply with the Food Fraud and Food Defense requirements established.
Report suspicious acts as per Food Defense and Food Fraud Procedure
Attend the mandatory and refresher FSQ trainings as per the schedule
Comply with BRF Sustainability Policy guidelines, ensure adherence to BRF Sustainability Plan through activities in its routines that promotes compliance with the indicators and global ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments of the Company, ensuring the connection between its actions and sustainable development in the BRF chain.
What kind of profile are we looking for?
2 Years Technical course in Mechanical Trade or any related field
Knowledge of mechanical controls, drives, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, lubrication etc.
Experience in Mechanical maintenance of equipment in Food / FMCG industry.
Basic expertise in trouble shooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic system of machine, equipment etc.
Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards, and regulations in the country.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, Civils drawings, Pneumatic drawings, Hydraulics circuit etc.
Experience of Asset Management in Food / FMCG Industry.
Knowledge on Food technology & Food safety.
Basic communication.
Knowledge of SAP.
Microsoft - word, excel and Power point
Understanding of analytical tools PDCA, RCA, 5s
Flexibility in working hours.
Flexibility in skills and support other areas.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a Multicultural Team
Minimum 3 years of experience in the Mechanical Engineering in Food /FMCG industry
What competencies are key to this role?
Mechanical Maintenance & Troubleshooting - Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical failures involving conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and production equipment.
Preventive Maintenance & Reliability - Demonstrates discipline in executing preventive maintenance plans, inspections, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Health, Safety & Food Safety Compliance - Strong commitment to HSE standards, GMP, HACCP requirements, safe work practices, and maintaining a safe manufacturing environment.
Technical Problem Solving - Uses a systematic approach to diagnose equipment issues, interpret technical drawings/P&IDs, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Teamwork & Operational Support - Works collaboratively with production, maintenance, and utility teams, communicates effectively, and responds quickly to breakdowns to minimize production disruptions.
