Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced 3D Designer with strong expertise in the design and modeling of Water Treatment Plants, Desalination Systems, Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and packaged treatment units. The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models, equipment layouts, piping arrangements, and fabrication drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in multidisciplinary coordination and detailed engineering for water treatment projects executed for municipal, industrial, oil & gas, or EPC clients.

Responsibilities

3D Modeling & Design

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D models for water treatment and process packages.
• Create equipment layouts, piping models, structural models, piping supports, and utility routing.
• Perform 3D modeling using:
• Autodesk Plant 3D
• SmartPlant 3D (SP3D)
• Autodesk Revit
• Navisworks
• AutoCAD
• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, plot plans, and equipment layouts.
• Generate piping isometrics, orthographic drawings, and spool drawings from 3D models.
  

Engineering Coordination

• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
• Participate in model reviews and clash detection sessions.
• Resolve interdisciplinary design conflicts and constructability issues.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards.
  
  

Drawing & Documentation

• Produce fabrication and construction drawings.
• Generate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and MTOs (Material Take-Offs).
• Maintain drawing registers and revision control.
• Support engineering deliverables throughout project execution.
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, Plant Design, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in 3D plant design.
• At least 3 years of experience in Water Treatment / Wastewater Treatment / Desalination projects.
• Experience working in EPC, package manufacturing, or process engineering environments.
• Software Skill: Autodesk Plant 3DSmartPlant 3D (SP3D)Autodesk RevitAutoCAD 2D & 3DNavisworks
