Marine Technical Manager Mechanical Background M F D

Job summary: The Technical Managers are multidisciplinary professionals responsible for defining priorities and identifying the developments required to meet client needs. They also play a key role in strengthening collaboration among team members and in structuring system definitions across disciplines. This position requires a strong mechanical engineering background, combined with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing environment with last-minute assignments. In addition, it demands strong organizational skills to structure work and clearly communicate guidelines to the team. Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership o Lead the design of complex systems for marine and underwater platforms interacting with different domains: Mechanical, Electrical and Software o Assess design and identify risks early in the development cycle.
• System Engineering o Extrapolate needs from the client request o Extract requirements for the developing system o Define architecture for the system that can be shared with the technical teams o Clarify the interface between the different system and technical developments. o Contribute to system-level architecture and interface control documents (ICDs).
• Product Owner o Define the needed work that needs to be done by the technical team to achieve the client needs. o Support on prioritizing the teamwork based on the different requests from stakeholders. o Asses different last-minute changes required on timeline and workload.
• Documentation o Write & maintain documentation for the different system development. Qualifications and skills:
• Education & Experience  Degree in mechanical engineering domain.  5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering applied to marine robotics.
• Technical Skills  Strong knowledge of:  Structural mechanics and fatigue  Materials, corrosion, and galvanic compatibility  Sealing systems (O-rings, gaskets, pressure interfaces))  Marine and underwater design principles
