Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Marine Offshore Captain for ADNOC Offshore client within our Operations EMEA business.
Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be office based with required site visits in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities
To provide marine support to projects related activities as follows, a- New fields Developments, b- Brown fields developments and upgrades, c- Artificial Islands, in terms of offshore construction / operations, pipe laying, heavy lifts, float over, sail out, load out, cable laying, DP Operations, subsea diving, jackets / Heavy transportations, pilling, drilling, deck installation, flairs installations, marine transportations, dredging activities, etc. in order to ensure full compliance and safe execution of projects activities.
Review and approve Project Documents and approval, Procedures set ups / write ups review and approval, method of statements review and approval, appointing MWS and marine reps for particular activities, SOW review, participate in Project FEED Phase, review marine contractors and project ITT + Tech Bid Evaluation, review Marine schedule for projects / contractors short and long terms. Attend Tech Review Boards + clarification meetings with Bidders .
Ensuring compliance of all Contractors/ sub-contractors, with Company marine standards and other relevant standards.
Manage contractors' interfaces to optimize their schedules and prioritize operation in accordance to higher management decisions to avoid any conflict which would cause project schedule delays.
Maintain contacts with government bodies, local regulatory bodies and other OPCO’s and keep teams updated with regard of any new regulations.
Coordinate & Monitor / participate in offshore construction units move / Barge move.

Expected
Master Mariner Certificate of Competency (foreign going) or Higher Degree related to Oceaneering or Nautical Science.
Minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience in the marine industry, of which at least a 10 years in offshore marine operations of which 3 years’ experience in towing, anchor handling, dynamic positioning, cable laying, dredging/ reclamation, pipelaying, offshore construction, vessel auditing and barge/ jack up rigs moves operations in a Supervisory level.
Organizing and coordination skills with proficiency in English language. Communication and People Management skills.
Ability to remain abreast with developments in standards and marine related activities.
