The G42 AI Function sits at the center of the group’s AI agenda, shaping enterprise-wide AI strategy, priority use cases, partnerships, and investments. It plays a key role in defining where and how G42 builds, partners, or acquires AI capabilities, while ensuring alignment with national priorities, responsible AI principles, and global best practices.

Within this function, the AI Strategy & Partnerships team works closely with senior leadership, operating companies, and external partners to design and execute G42’s AI growth strategy, structure strategic partnerships, support ecosystem development, and drive cross-group initiatives that scale AI impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

R&D tracking and execution support

  • Track AI research initiatives across OpCos using defined processes and templates.
  • Maintain accurate records of project scope, status, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
  • Ensure inputs from OpCo AI teams are complete, timely, and structured.
  • Surface inconsistencies, delays, or gaps in execution.

R&D pipeline and roadmap maintenance

  • Maintain the unified AI R&D pipeline and roadmap.
  • Update progress, changes in scope, and maturity levels of initiatives.
  • Support preparation of consolidated views for planning and review forums.

Review and coordination support

  • Support preparation of materials for AI R&D reviews and steering committees.
  • Coordinate collection of inputs, agendas, and follow-up actions.
  • Document outcomes and track execution of agreed actions.

Documentation and reporting

  • Ensure consistent documentation of research activities and outputs.
  • Support teams in preparing research summaries, experiment records, and evaluations.
  • Maintain centralized records of research outputs and references.

Standards and tooling support

  • Support adoption of agreed tools, models, and research methods.
  • Track usage of shared research assets and components.
  • Identify practical issues encountered during execution and feed them back into coordination processes.

Cross-team coordination

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration based on observed overlap or complementary work.
  • Support information sharing between teams as directed.
  • Assist with coordination tasks assigned by the Senior Manager.

Hands-on AI research contribution

  • Actively conduct AI research alongside coordination responsibilities.
  • Lead or co-lead assigned research tasks, modules, or sub-projects.
  • Design and run experiments, train and evaluate models, and analyze results.
  • Implement research prototypes and reusable components.
  • Engage with relevant AI research literature and apply it to ongoing work.
  • Produce concrete research outputs such as code, models, evaluations, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5–7 years experience in AI research or advanced applied AI roles.
  • Demonstrated experience building, training, and evaluating AI models.
  • Experience supporting or contributing to multi-team AI initiatives.
