Manager Flight Operations Support

Synopsis



Reporting to the Senior Manager Flight Operations Support, the Manager Flight Operations Support will be responsible for Lido Flight Planning platform and deliver solutions to meet the complex demands of the Etihad Network. In addition to this the incumbent will manage a team of Lido Support specialists and assume administrative control with regards to LIDO Projects.

Accountabilities

• Manage and implement Flight Planning System related operations projects for Etihad and the Strategic Partner Airlines including flight planning redundancy management through the disaster recovery program.
• Manage a working roster for Technical Flight Dispatch in compliance with internal departmental policies and procedures to provide business continuity and meet customer demand.
• Manage KPIs and SPIs related to Flight Planning System functionalities and Service Level Agreements to enhance the performance factors for business needs.
• Manage quality processes and procedures including audits and attendance of audits in compliance with GCAA and IOSA requirements to conform the regulatory standards are maintained.
• Manage the level of expectations of internal stakeholders proactively in relation to the benefits of optimized route structures ensuring risks are assessed, quantified and mitigated using risk management techniques.
• Manage traffic flow restriction data reports to capture cost efficiency progress and publish status reports.
• Manage a working roster for Technical Flight Dispatch in compliance with internal departmental policies and procedures to provide business continuity and meet customer demand.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Educated to a minimum of high school certification.
• University Degree is preferable A minimum of 5 years in airline operations experience in Flight Dispatch
• A minimum of 2 years in a Managerial position Training, Knowledge and Skills Aircraft operations/limitations/requirements with regards to Flight Planning
• Flight Dispatch Experience in all areas of the company network (ETOPS, MNPS, RVSM, etc.)
• Knowledge of FANS and other Navigational requirementsIn-depth knowledge of Aeronautical Information Services, Air Traffic Management, State regulatory bodies, resources & processes, ICAO annexes and support Manuals.
• Experience in managing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Safety Performance Indicators (SPI) in regard to flight operations reports.
• Experience in managing flight operations work rosters
• Lido flight planning experience
