Synopsis



The Manager Ethics & Compliance leads the design and execution of Etihad’s Core Ethics & Compliance Programme — covering Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Fraud, Conflicts of Interest, Compliance Risk Management, and the Code of Conduct — ensuring alignment with global standards and Etihad’s strategic objectives.

The role acts as a key advisor to senior leadership, strengthens governance and compliance risk oversight, and drives a culture of integrity across the organisation. By leveraging data, policy leadership, and strong stakeholder engagement, the Manager ensures effective controls, behavioural change, and sustained organisational resilience.

Accountabilities



  • Lead, plan, structure and implement the Core Ethics & Compliance Program and drive a culture of integrity at Etihad, in line with globally accepted standards.
  • Independently provide advice and guidance to (senior) management and staff on all issues related to the Core Ethics & Compliance Program.
  • Develop and maintain relevant policies and procedures for the Core Ethics & Compliance Program.
  • Manage the team who will support with the Core Ethics & Compliance Program.
  • Lead the development, the planning and implementation of the training and communication strategy for Etihad in relation to the Core Ethics & Compliance Program, including for regular staff and management.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, building influential partnerships to integrate compliance requirements into business planning, operational processes, and strategic decision-making across the organisation.
  • Appoint, train and manage Etihad’s network of ethics and compliance Liaisons. Set objectives and provide input to help their line management evaluate their performance in this role.
  • Monitor developments in global laws and regulations in relation to the Core Ethics & Compliance Program, identify risks and work with business unit leaders and the risk management function to devise suitable mitigation strategies and effective controls.
  • Lead, manage and design approach for corporate compliance KPIs such as training, conflicts of interest, the Integrity Score and others and provide regular reporting at divisional and group levels.
  • Prepare and coordinate quarterly reporting packs for the Ethics & Compliance Board and Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.

Education & Experience



  • Minimum of eight years’ experience in a similar ethics and compliance role.
  • University degree. Preferably in Law (but other fields will be considered depending on experience).
  • Relevant Ethics & Compliance certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Fraud Examiner etc. preferred.
