Job Description
Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Manager Commissioning (Offshore, WHT, Subsea Cable, Piping, B/F's) for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.
Qualification Required
The candidates should have bachelor's degree of engineering in relevant discipline from an accredited university.
Responsibilities
Responsible for overall management, coordination and execution of offshore commissioning activities covering Wellhead Towers (WHTs), subsea cables, piping systems and brownfield modifications/tie-ins.
Provides leadership from commissioning preparation and systemization through pre-commissioning, functional testing, commissioning, start-up, performance testing and final handover to Operations.
Ensures that commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, engineering requirements, Client/Operator standards, schedule and HSE requirements.
Provide overall leadership for offshore commissioning activities.
Develop and implement the project commissioning execution strategy.
Establish commissioning priorities based on systemization, construction completion and start-up requirements.
Coordinate commissioning activities across WHT, subsea cable, piping, E&I, mechanical and control systems.
Ensure commissioning activities are aligned with project schedule and offshore execution plans.
Establish commissioning organization, manpower requirements and responsibilities.
Coordinate commissioning readiness with Construction, Completion and Operations teams.
Ensure adequate resources, tools, test equipment and specialist personnel are available.
Monitor overall commissioning progress and recovery actions.
Lead commissioning activities associated with offshore Wellhead Towers.
Coordinate commissioning of mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
Manage commissioning activities associated with subsea power, control, communication and fiber-optic cables.
Coordinate cable pull-in, termination, hang-off and connection activities.
Experience Required
Minimum 20+ years of experience, with at least 5 to 8+ years significant in offshore project.
Proven experience in managing multidiscipline offshore commissioning activities.
Strong experience with WHTs, offshore platforms, piping systems, subsea cables and brownfield modifications.
Demonstrated experience leading commissioning teams through system completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and handover.
Experience with subsea cable pull-in, termination, testing and integration is strongly preferred.
