Job Description

A Logistics Supervisor is a pivotal role within a supply chain and logistics operation, responsible for overseeing and managing the daily activities of a logistics team, ensuring efficient and effective storage, distribution, and transportation of goods. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the logistics team to ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods to meet delivery schedules.
  • Develop strategies to streamline logistics operations and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of logistics team members.
  • Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Manage logistics service providers and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve logistical issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare logistics reports and presentations for senior management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of logistics software and warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
