Job Description

A Logistics Specialist 14N25 performs a vital role in ensuring the successful coordination and management of supply chain logistics within a company or organization. This position involves the planning, execution, and management of resources to ensure that goods are transported efficiently and effectively from their point of origin to their final destination. The Logistics Specialist 14N25 is responsible for monitoring supply chain operations, analyzing logistics data, and implementing process improvements. The role involves close collaboration with various departments, suppliers, and customers and requires a thorough understanding of logistical processes. Successful candidates will have a keen eye for detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation and delivery of goods to specified times and locations.
  • Analyze logistical operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain and update accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies in line with company goals and objectives.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain to replenish stock.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on logistics performance and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies in logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Resolve any logistical issues promptly to maintain operations continuity.
  • Liaise with government authorities to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Provide training and support to junior logistics staff as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination and supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and utilize data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors, partners, and team members.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines consistently.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics practices is preferred.
