The Logistics Specialist 10A26 plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products, materials, and resources within an organization. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the logistics process to achieve timely delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies and transportation solutions.
  • Maintain and update logistics management systems and databases for accurate tracking.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize transportation and distribution routes.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure stock levels are maintained adequately.
  • Track and analyze logistics performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in logistics operations.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
  • Identify potential risks in logistics operations and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare logistics reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by resolving logistics issues timely and effectively.
  • Train and mentor junior logistics staff to enhance team performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with partners and stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and tight schedules effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards in logistics.
