Job Description

A Logistics Specialist is a key figure in the supply chain management, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire lifecycle of a product from acquisition to distribution. This role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills to coordinate and manage high-volume shipments, ensure timely delivery, and minimize costs. The Logistics Specialist will work closely with both internal and external partners to ensure that all aspects of the logistics chain run smoothly. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects are crucial. The Logistics Specialist must also work to adhere to regulatory compliance and ensure customer satisfaction is achieved. As part of the operations team, the Specialist will develop logistics plans, conduct performance analysis, and solve logistics problems efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the transportation of goods ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain operations to optimize efficiency and performance.
  • Develop logistical strategies to ensure timely delivery and reduced transportation costs.
  • Maintain accurate records for inventory management and necessary documentation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all logistics legal regulations to avoid costly delays.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, couriers, and customers to meet delivery standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any logistical problems and provide actionable solutions promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain logistics reports for performance analysis and strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate with warehouses and distribution centers to streamline operations and procedures.
  • Liaise with internal teams to integrate logistics with company systems and processes.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Oversee and evaluate the performance of logistics personnel to ensure high-quality output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage and analyze significant amounts of data efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle various simultaneous projects.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite for effective management.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with all stakeholders involved.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to address and rectify any logistical challenges swiftly.
