Tasks

  • Manage the allocation, mobilization, and demobilization of construction plant, heavy equipment, vehicles, and generators across multiple project sites.
  • Coordinate equipment requirements with Project, Construction, and Plant teams to ensure timely availability and optimum utilization of resources.
  • Oversee the inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance, and repair of construction equipment to maximize operational performance and minimise downtime.
  • Monitor equipment utilisation, maintenance schedules, operating costs, and fleet performance, implementing improvements where required.
  • Coordinate equipment transfers, transportation, permits, and logistics activities in accordance with project schedules.
  • Manage plant operators, drivers, and logistics personnel, ensuring resources are effectively planned and deployed.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Workshop, HSE, and Project teams on equipment requirements, maintenance planning, and operational priorities.
  • Maintain equipment records, maintenance histories, inspection reports, utilisation data, and statutory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning for plant and logistics operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10–15 years of experience managing plant and logistics operations within a main contracting environment.
  • GCC/UAE experience supporting building, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
  • Experience managing construction plant, earthmoving equipment, heavy vehicles, generators, and associated maintenance activities.
  • Experience in equipment inspections, preventive maintenance planning, fault diagnosis, plant mobilisation, demobilisation, and utilisation management.
  • Working knowledge of equipment transportation, statutory requirements, and maintenance planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for operational reporting and planning. Experience with ERP, fleet management, or plant management systems is an advantage.
  • Able to lead plant and logistics teams while coordinating equipment requirements across multiple project sites.
