Job Description

A Logistics Manager is responsible for the overall supply chain management, including organizing and monitoring the storage and distribution of goods. This role requires ensuring that products are delivered on time, efficiently, and cost-effectively. A successful Logistics Manager should be able to strategize and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services. The position involves leading a team to execute core logistics functions that meet customer demands and boost the supply chain management process. Keeping abreast of the latest development in logistics technologies and best practices is also part of the role. Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee complex operations are vital for success in this position.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient logistics plans and strategies for the company.
  • Coordinate and manage the transportation and storage of goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all transport and goods storage activities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to improve logistics performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant logistics laws and regulations in operations.
  • Develop key performance indicators for logistics operations improvement.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources for logistics operations and projects effectively.
  • Oversee inventory management and coordinate with warehouse teams for optimization.
  • Conduct analysis of logistical problems and develop solutions for efficiency improvement.
  • Ensure the implementation of safety and quality standards in logistics operations.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate the performance of logistics staff and team members.
  • Keep abreast with advancements in logistics and supply chain management technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a logistics manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics KPIs and operational management best practices.
  • Experience in strategic planning and resource allocation within logistics operations.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills are essential.
  • Proficient in logistics software such as ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
