Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize costs.
  • Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to improve overall logistics efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track logistics performance and productivity.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics providers and vendors to reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align logistics activities with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all logistics activities.
  • Analyze logistical problems and produce new solutions to streamline processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team to enhance skills and achieve targets.
  • Maintain a robust record-keeping system for all logistics activities and transactions.
  • Implement and manage state-of-the-art logistics information systems to facilitate planning and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or in a similar role for at least 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex logistics operations efficiently.
