A Logistics Manager is a crucial role in any company that deals with the transportation, distribution, and storage of goods. Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory control and stock management.
  • Monitor and analyze customer delivery metrics to improve service levels and satisfaction.
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure alignment of logistics activities with company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards in all logistics operations.
  • Prepare and manage logistics budgets to control expenses and optimize resources.
  • Train and supervise logistics staff to enhance performance and skill levels.
  • Implement and oversee inventory management systems and processes for greater accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for logistics process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments for logistics activities and develop mitigating strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, with at least five years in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics data.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and experience in financial planning.
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
