Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator is a crucial role in the supply chain management process, focusing on ensuring that goods move efficiently and effectively between suppliers and customers. Responsibilities

  • Monitor product availability and delivery dates to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics processes and reduce costs.
  • Organize transportation activities according to customer requirements and cost constraints.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, including costs and delivery schedules.
  • Review and confirm transportation bills and resolve any discrepancies quickly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to logistics operations.
  • Assist in the negotiation of transportation rates and service agreements with carriers.
  • Prepare and provide regular reports on logistics performance and efficiency metrics.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure seamless product movement and inventory management.
  • Coordinate emergency responses for logistics issues to mitigate impact on supply chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management roles.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with logistics regulations and compliance requirements is necessary.
