Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods. This professional is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of products and materials. The position requires a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure that products are delivered on time and in the right condition. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations for timely and accurate delivery.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics processes.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all logistics activities and transactions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations and reduce costs.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with shipments or inventory management.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize storage and distribution operations.
  • Prepare and provide reports on the progress and status of logistics activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations for logistics and shipping.
  • Maintain and build relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain.
  • Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts with logistics service providers.
  • Implement safety standards and protocols in all logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Prior experience in logistics or supply chain management is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required for success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.
  • Ability to analyze logistics data and implement improvements effectively.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to manage and resolve logistics issues efficiently.
