Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations within a company's supply chain. This position is pivotal for managing the transportation and distribution of goods, verifying inventory levels, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery to meet customer demands. A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for streamlining processes to improve the efficiency of operations while adhering to budgets and timelines. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in project management, possesses excellent communication skills, and has the ability to resolve logistical challenges swiftly. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the logistics department efficiently.
  • Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services meticulously.
  • Direct, optimize, and coordinate full order cycle from warehouses to final delivery.
  • Track quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to provide solution-oriented service.
  • Maintain and enhance business relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints regarding transportation and logistics services.
  • Prepare accurate reports for upper management, providing insights for strategic planning.
  • Manage and maintain inventory systems, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international legislation governing logistics.
  • Continuously develop professional knowledge on emerging logistics trends and technologies.
  • Evaluate and report on key performance indicators, proposing improvements where necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in logistics and supply chain management is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements relevant to logistics is crucial.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in teams is necessary.
