Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in the management of an organization's supply chain, ensuring that the distribution process runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners for timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability and demand fulfillment.
  • Organize transportation routes for optimal cost efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics regulations, policies, and safety standards.
  • Analyze logistics processes and implement improvements to streamline operations.
  • Manage communication between departments to align supply chain objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to shipments, invoicing, and customs declarations.
  • Oversee the resolution of discrepancies in shipment processes and delivery issues.
  • Negotiate with vendors and carriers to reduce logistics costs and enhance services.
  • Track shipments and update clients on delivery statuses and any potential delays.
  • Work with IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior logistics staff or new team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and management tools is necessary.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential for success.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with clients and vendors.
  • Ability to analyze and solve logistical problems under pressure efficiently.
  • Familiarity with international shipping and custom requirements is advantageous.
