Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is a vital role within the supply chain process, ensuring that goods move smoothly from origin to destination. This position focuses on optimizing, coordinating, and expediting efficient transportation services for clients while maintaining excellent vendor relations and minimizing costs. Responsibilities

  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to achieve the best delivery outcomes.
  • Manage and optimize logistical chain processes for reduced costs while maintaining quality.
  • Develop cost-effective, timely delivery schedules that meet client specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipment details, transported goods, and logistical activities.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for customs and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and supplier teams to align on inventory targets.
  • Resolve any issues or concerns that arise during transportation and logistics processes.
  • Negotiate freight rates with carriers to keep transportation economical and budget-friendly.
  • Track shipments to ensure timely arrivals and report any delays or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics rules, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Continuously assess and improve the logistics operations through data analysis and feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination within a similar industry setting.
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international logistics regulations and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle complex logistical challenges efficiently.
