Job Description

The Logistic Officer and Fleet Management professional plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the logistics and transportation of goods and services. This position involves coordinating and managing all logistics-related activities, ensuring that all processes are highly efficient and cost-effective. The Logistic Officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. This role also includes managing the organization’s fleet, ensuring that vehicles are well-maintained, safe, and efficient. The Logistic Officer must have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex logistical problems. Effective communication and collaboration with various departments are also essential to achieve company goals in logistics and fleet management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and manage all transportation activities, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations across all operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the fleet to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to logistics and fleet management activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Utilize logistics software to optimize supply chain processes and vehicle routing.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure service quality and efficiency.
  • Implement cost-saving measures to reduce logistics and transportation expenses.
  • Analyze and report on logistics metrics to identify areas for improvement and strategic growth.
  • Train and supervise logistics staff to ensure high performance and service quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and fleet management roles.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations, laws, and industry best practices.
  • Proven experience with logistics software and vehicle routing management tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with strong decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with changing needs.
