Job Description

The Logistic Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and smooth flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers. This role is essential in managing the entire logistics process, which includes planning, implementing, and controlling procedures for the efficient and economical movement of products. The Logistic Officer will work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure that goods reach their destination on time and in excellent condition. It involves coordinating with various departments to optimize the logistics chain while minimizing costs and improving customer satisfaction. The position demands a high degree of organization, analytical thinking, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain logistics and transportation strategies to optimize delivery routes.
  • Coordinate and oversee all logistics activities and operations within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping and delivery regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and transport companies to manage order shipments.
  • Monitor the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
  • Plan and manage logistics personnel, operations, and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking goods in transit and storage conditions.
  • Prepare and manage logistics documentation including shipping orders and labels.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost reductions.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with logistics service providers.
  • Resolve any problems or complaints related to logistics and shipping issues.
  • Regularly review and update logistical processes and systems to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Familiarity with logistics and inventory management software and tools.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams.
