We are seeking a reliable and experienced Light Vehicle Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of light vehicles to deliver goods, transport personnel, and ensure all transportation needs are met in a timely manner. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, punctual, and possesses excellent driving skills. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of traffic laws and the geographical area, ensuring efficient route planning. Additionally, candidates should have strong interpersonal skills as they may need to interact with clients or company personnel during deliveries and pickups. A commitment to safety and customer service is key in this role, ensuring that all cargo and passengers are transported securely and satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and personnel to various destinations with punctuality and care.
• Perform daily vehicle checks including oil, fuel, and tire pressure for optimal performance.
• Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely arrivals and departures for all assignments.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel purchases, mileage, and other vehicle-related activities.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and presentable at all times for company image.
• Adhere to all relevant state, local traffic laws, and company transport policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods, ensuring all items are secured correctly.
• Conduct daily inspections for vehicle defects and report issues to the fleet manager promptly.
• Handle questions and interactions with clients professionally during transport assignments.
• Stay updated with current road conditions, construction areas, and detours for efficient routing.
• Perform instant troubleshooting in case of vehicle breakdowns or emergencies while on duty.
• Provide support for additional tasks within the logistics and operations department as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no recent violations.
• Minimum of two years of experience operating light vehicles such as cars or vans.
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and road safety protocols.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills for efficient route planning.
• Good communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
