Job Overview:
We are a leading law firm based in Abu Dhabi, recognized for our strong litigation practice and commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Secretary with a strong background in litigation support within law firms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in legal documentation, court filings, and case coordination, along with in-depth knowledge of UAE court systems. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth administrative and procedural handling of litigation matters while providing high-level support to lawyers and partners.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to litigation lawyers and partners.

  • Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal correspondence, pleadings, memoranda, and court submissions.

  • Manage case files, legal records, and document control systems with high accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Coordinate court filings, hearing dates, execution matters, and procedural deadlines through UAE court portals.

  • Maintain lawyers’ calendars, schedule meetings, client conferences, and court appointments.

  • Liaise with clients, court clerks, government authorities, external counsel, and internal stakeholders professionally.

  • Assist in preparing case bundles, hearing files, evidence schedules, and supporting legal documents.

  • Track deadlines, limitation periods, and follow-ups to ensure timely case progression.

  • Support billing activities, timesheets, expense coordination, and matter opening processes.

  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s document management and confidentiality protocols.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Law, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Legal Secretary within law firms, preferably in litigation.

  • Strong knowledge of UAE court systems, e-filing portals, and litigation procedures.

  • Excellent drafting, formatting, and document management skills.

  • Strong command of Arabic and English, both written and spoken.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, document management systems, and legal tools.
