Role Purpose

The Lease Contract Manager holds end-to-end ownership of the leasing contract lifecycle across the organization. The role ensures all lease agreements are commercially robust, legally compliant, accurately administered, and proactively managed to minimize risk and optimize financial exposure.

This position acts as the central authority for lease governance, controls, and reporting, manages the leasing administration function, and works closely with Legal, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership to ensure full contractual discipline across the portfolio.


Location & Mobility

  • The role will be based across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, with responsibility for managing lease contracts and stakeholders across both locations.
  • Regular travel between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain is required to support portfolio oversight, stakeholder engagement, site coordination, and lease execution activities.
  • The role holder must be comfortable operating across multiple sites and jurisdictions while maintaining consistent governance and contractual standards.



Key Responsibilities

Lease Contract Governance & Lifecycle Management

  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of lease contracts from initiation, negotiation, and execution through renewal, amendment, or termination.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer lease agreements in coordination with internal Legal teams and approved authority matrices.
  • Ensure all lease terms comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and approved commercial standards.
  • Proactively monitor and manage critical lease milestones, including renewals, rent reviews, escalations, expiries, and termination notices.
  • Ensure proper lease handover, commencement, and close-out requirements are met.

Commercial & Financial Oversight

  • Analyze lease terms to identify compliance gaps.
  • Track and validate rental payments, service charges, penalties, and contractual obligations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting related to lease commitments and exposure.
  • Ensure timely execution of lease amendments, extensions, and variations in line with approvals.

Systems, Yardi & Data Management

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and auditable lease records within the Yardi system (or equivalent enterprise lease / real estate document management platform).
  • Use Yardi to track lease milestones, documentation, approvals, renewals, and reporting.
  • Extract and analyze lease data from Yardi to support management reporting, audits, renewals, and financial exposure analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity, version control, and document governance across all lease records.

Stakeholder & Issue Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for landlords, tenants, and internal stakeholders on lease-related matters.
  • Coordinate resolution of lease disputes, claims, and contractual non-compliance, escalating to the Head of Department and Legal as required.
  • Ensure alignment across Leasing, Finance, Legal, and Operations on contractual obligations and risks.

Process, Controls & Administration

  • Manage and oversee the Leasing Administration function, ensuring accuracy, discipline, and timely execution.
  • Continuously review and improve lease management processes, controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure readiness for internal and external audits and provide required documentation and explanations.

Reporting & Management Information

  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards on lease performance, exposure, renewals, and risk for senior management.
  • Provide clear visibility to leadership on upcoming lease actions and contractual liabilities.


Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Law, Finance, Property Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as RICS, CPM, PMP, or Contract Management–related qualifications are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in lease administration, contract management, or commercial property leasing.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end lease contracts including negotiation, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience using ERD systems (or equivalent enterprise lease / real estate document management platforms) in a corporate or large-portfolio environment.
  • Strong experience coordinating with Legal, Finance, and senior business stakeholders.
  • Exposure to audits, compliance reviews, and contractual risk management.
  • Experience managing or supervising leasing administration teams is required.
