Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

The Lead, Procurement is responsible for managing and optimizing procurement and supply chain operations to ensure efficient sourcing, cost-effectiveness, and uninterrupted supply of goods and services. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive operational excellence, oversee tendering activities, and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate procurement activities, ensuring all requisitions are accurate and processed efficiently
• Manage and monitor supplier performance, driving cost savings and service improvements
• Plan and oversee daily procurement operations to enhance efficiency and meet business needs
• Develop, review, and manage tenders in line with category strategies
• Maintain accurate procurement records, inventory systems, and reporting mechanisms
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods/services
• Resolve procurement and supply issues, including delays, discrepancies, or damaged goods
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and supplier management skills
• Experience working with ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in healthcare procurement is an advantage
