Job Description - Lead Offshore Structural Engineer

Key Consideration
Preference will be given to candidates holding valid OPITO-approved T-BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications with a minimum validity of six months. The selected candidate will be required to travel ADNOC offshore as required to conduct site surveys, support structural assessments and reassessments, verify existing offshore facilities, review as-built conditions, and obtain project-specific engineering data necessary for brownfield modification, strengthening, life-extension and execution support.
Job Purpose
Lead offshore structural engineering delivery for fixed offshore assets across Concept Select, FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC and brownfield modification phases.
Act as discipline focal point for structural assessment, reassessment, modification, strengthening, life-extension, checking, approval and technical assurance.
Ensure safe, compliant and constructible engineering solutions through effective discipline planning, multidisciplinary coordination and workshare management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage discipline execution plans, structural design basis, philosophies, deliverable registers, checking/approval matrices and engineering work-hour estimates.
Lead offshore structural engineering deliverables for fixed platforms, jackets, topsides, bridges, flare structures, supports and brownfield modifications.
Define analysis approach, review assumptions, verify results and approve structural calculations, reports, specifications, drawings and technical deliverables.
Develop engineering solutions for brownfield anomalies, corrosion, damage, previous modifications, strengthening, repair, replacement and remaining-life issues.
Plan and support offshore/site visits for data collection, field verification, condition assessment, as-built verification and structural survey reporting.
Lead interdisciplinary, model, constructability and safety reviews with client, IVB, operations, fabrication, installation and third-party stakeholders.
Minimum 18 years of oil and gas structural engineering experience, including 10 years in fixed offshore structural engineering and 5 years in a lead role.
Proven experience across FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, PMC, construction support, offshore installation support and brownfield modification phases.
Hands-on experience with fixed offshore assets, structural integrity, reassessment, aging facilities, anomaly mitigation, site survey and as-built verification.
ADNOC Offshore, ADNOC Group, Middle East or comparable major operator brownfield offshore experience is preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Offshore Engineering or a related discipline will be considered an advantage.
Technical Skills
Expert knowledge of fixed offshore structural systems, brownfield interfaces and offshore structural integrity principles.
Advanced proficiency in SACS for fixed offshore structural modelling, analysis, assessment, reassessment, checking and technical assurance.
Strong understanding of offshore structural analysis types including in-place, pre-service, transportation, load-out, lifting, fatigue, seismic, dynamic response, pushover/RSR, accidental load, pile/foundation and integrity assessment.
Thorough working knowledge of ADNOC Offshore specifications, API RP 2A-WSD/LRFD, ISO 19900/19901/19902, AISC 360, AWS D1.1 and relevant DNV practices.
Practical knowledge of offshore survey requirements, as-built verification, weight control, constructability, fabrication and offshore installation constraints.
Strong technical leadership, engineering assurance, risk identification, quality control, communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
