Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software issues impacting laptops' performance or functionality.
• Perform detailed hardware repairs, including replacement of screens and keyboards.
• Install, configure, and upgrade laptop operating systems and application software.
• Provide comprehensive troubleshooting for connectivity and network issues on laptops.
• Maintain meticulous records of all serviced laptops including repair details and outcomes.
• Ensure the timely completion of repair orders to meet client service level agreements.
• Communicate with clients to assess their needs and explain repair procedures thoroughly.
• Regularly clean laptop components to prevent dust build-up and overheating issues.
• Stay updated with the latest technological trends and best practices in laptop repair.
• Manage and organize tools and equipment needed for laptop repair tasks.
• Assist in training junior technicians in technical skills and customer service standards.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment in the repair shop.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in laptop repair or a related technical field.
• Certification from a recognized technical institute or accredited program is preferred.
• Strong understanding of laptop hardware and software components and their functions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and technical support teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple repair tasks efficiently.
