Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer satisfaction, coupled with excellent leadership and organizational skills. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring that our guests enjoy exceptional meals and service. You will also work closely with the management team to develop menus, monitor inventory levels, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Implement and oversee food safety and sanitation practices within the kitchen.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate kitchen staff to improve their performance.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
  • Collaborate effectively with the front-of-house team to meet guest expectations.
  • Develop and implement procedures to enhance kitchen productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain records of all financial transactions and manage the kitchen budget effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the kitchen team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to manage a team and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team management.
  • Understanding of sanitation and health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school or related qualification preferred.
