IT Systems Administrator (225-922)

As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions. You will work closely with other IT professionals and end-users to install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software and associated operating systems. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure the smooth operation of various technologies. You will also be expected to apply your expertise in system capacity planning, installation, configuration, and managing complex IT-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Proactively maintain and develop all network, server, and IT systems infrastructure.
• Monitor systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal operations and security adherence.
• Oversee data backup, recovery operations and ensure data integrity and availability.
• Conduct server updates, patches, and required configurations to ensure system security.
• Develop and implement IT policies, protocols, and procedures to support the organization.
• Collaborate with IT Team and end-users to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure documentation and knowledge base for systems and related procedures are accurate.
• Implement security strategies and practices to safeguard organizational data and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Manage user accounts and access controls in accordance with security policies.
• Perform regular audits of systems and software to confirm compliance with policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
• Proven work experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and cloud provisioning tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Experience in implementing and managing security practices for IT infrastructures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
